Common Rafter Builder

Using Common Rafter Builder is fast and simple , just enter the roof pitch, the run, and the overhang length. Then the application will generate a to scale view of what the Rafter will look like with all of the measurements. Rafter length, tail length, rise, birds-mouth chop measurements.


Valley / Lay-in Builder

The Lay-in Builder is 1 of the most strong features of this app. This will literally save you hours of work the 1st time you use it. Here is how it works, you enter your 1st and second roof pitch then enter your desired truss spacing (example 16" centre) then enter your 1st truss height(detailed explanations inside the app). With these Four values entered the application will generate
1- A 2d example, to scale of what the lay-in will look like.
2- Gets the ridge block length with the exact angles.
3- Gets the lay-in block length with both angles.
4- Gives you a list of each single truss lengths with both angles.
Just like that you have each single measurement in seconds, with the exact angles. Each piece you need to build your lay-in. You didn't have to chalk any lines, you didn't have to use a level to test to figure out where you ridge ends, you didn't have to use your measuring tape to measure each single truss length. You will save hours of time the 1st time you use it. This will once again improve the quality of work with such accurate measurements and exact angles there is no room for mistakes.

This way, if you wanted you could chop all of your pieces on the floor, then go up on the roof once, and have have each piece installed in minutes.



Plywood Angles

With Plywood Angles you simply enter your 1st roof pitch (example 6/12) and then your other roof pitch (example 12/12). The application will then generate a to scale picture of the piece of plywood with the correct angle, along with the top, bottom and side measurements.
No more taking out your measuring tape, snapping lines ext... you just saved several minutes of work and most importantly your plywood angle will be Perfect. Your hip and valley's will never have looked straighter.
You can also edit any of the plywood measurements, for example if you edit the bottom measurement, the application will update all other measurements instantly.


Hip/Valley Blocks

Everyone knows how complicated it is to obtain the length oh hip blocks. With this feature you can easily enter your 1st and second roof pitch and the distance in-between trusses. The application will then generate a to scale view of what the hip block will look like, the length of the block and the correct angle. So you can pre-cut all of your blocks for you roof.
You can also use this to obtain the length of your corner hip length, to do this you would change the "distance in-between trusses" to be the length from the inside of your facia to the inside of the truss.




After you test this app, you wont wish to go back to the old ways of building roofs.
